The Northwest Florida Association of Environmental Professionals (NWFAEP) invites you to join us for the 2024 Symposium on Friday, November 1. We are inviting those from the public and private sectors who wish to present or discuss their work on various environmental subjects. Presentation topics include, but are not limited to, environmental justice, mitigation planning, sea level rise, regional food sustainability, local projects, and anything that enhances, maintains, and protects the quality of the natural and human environment.

This year’s Symposium will also include a student hour, during which we invite students to present posters of their work related to environmental sciences. Additionally, we will consider submittals for dedicated sessions if you have multiple speakers who wish to present on a unified topic.

If you wish to present at the Symposium, either during the student hour (poster presentation) or give an oral presentation, please submit your abstract and presentation details using this form or by email by September 13, 2024: 2024 NWFAEP Symposium Abstract Submission Form. **There are still poster presentation spaces available for any interested students.

Important Dates: 

  • Registration to attend is available from September 13 through October 21.
  • Late Registration due October 28 (and at a higher rate)
  • Symposium is Friday, November 1, at the University of West Florida

Tentative Event Schedule (Final Agenda Release by Sept 23):

  1. Check-in and Coffee with Sponsors
  2. Morning Session (includes multiple speaker presentations)
  3. Lunch Break (includes lunch as well as optional time with sponsors and the opportunity to view student poster presentations
  4. Afternoon Session (includes multiple speaker presentations)
  5. 50/50 Scholarship Raffle Winner Announcement
  6. Social with Sponsors and Attendees

Registration Fees (refreshments and lunch included):

  • Students: $30* some scholarships to cover the registration cost will be provided for student presenters (details coming soon)
  • Speakers: no charge
  • FAEP Members: $50
  • Non-members: $90
